Slimming can be more intuitive.
It is frustrating to see no results after the first few weeks of your weight loss plan. Stay calm, we all know the pain. That's why we are here to help.
The Story of King's Phase
Have you ever tried following experts’ suggested diet, doing all sorts of weight loss exercises or even investing products claiming to help you ‘lose 50 pounds in 5 weeks’ but still, you look like exactly the same than last week? If they sound familiar to you, these are the story of us as well.
It all starts with an idea – what if we have a device showing how effective are we burning fat? Or more precisely, can we monitor real-time metabolic status with a portable gadget?
First, we need a gas sensor
Most of the gas sensors in the market are designed for industrial use. To cater to fat burn detection, the sensor must be in high sensitivity and be compact in size.
Back in 2018, our development team build the first sensor prototype with ketone sensing capability 1000X more than currently existing products. Over the past few years, R&D of our sensor has provided multiple breakthroughs. The current generation preserves the same level of sensitivity while miniaturizes the size to the degree of micrometers. We are proud to equip the sensor on Beagle™ – Your next metabolism measurement kit.

We joined the Hackathon HK 2018

Our first sensor prototype

Miniaturized sensor.

Moving into Building 19W of Hong Kong Science Park.

Improved sensitivity with metal casing.

We moved from 10/F to 7/F to a new environment.
Our Founder

Gavin Lou
Gavin obtained his undergraduate degree as a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from King's College London (KCL), then received a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2019. During his Master's studies, he noticed the potential market of monitoring progress in fitness through tracking body ketone levels and was inspired by Professor Aaron Ho from CUHK to develop his own breath sensors. Gavin founded King's Phase Technologies shortly after his graduation to further expand his business ideas.
